Head Chair
Vivaan Chirag Dhyani
Hello delegates, I, Vivaan, will be your chair for the Environmental Committee. I will have been doing MUN for about two and a half years before the conference, and have greatly enjoyed learning about politics, public speaking, collaboration, and management along the way. Till this day, climate action remains limited, and that is because of the conflicting priorities nations must manage, mainly their economy. Therefore, I believe that guiding delegates through such situations would be especially enjoyable, which made me choose the Environmental Committee in particular. In this conference, I look forward to seeing how debates turn out, for in many such other committees, topics and resolutions have been general, with a lack of creativity; however, in this one, the topics are relevant and specific, such as artificial intelligence and resilient infrastructure, which are not as directly conflicting, creating potential for progress. Best of luck in preparation; see you there!

Deputy Chair
Ayaan Mittal
Hello, my name is Ayaan Mittal, and I am excited to serve as the Deputy Chair for the Environmental Committee (EVC) at MYMUN this year. This is my third year in MUN and I am currently in my freshman year, studying at Singapore American School. Throughout my MUN journey, I have enjoyed engaging in thoughtful debates, meeting passionate delegates from around the world, and collaborating with others to find meaningful solutions to global challenges.
The Environmental Committee stands out to me because it combines scientific urgency with ethical responsibility and real-world policy issues. It encourages delegates to think about both the immediate and long-term effects of their decisions.
I am honoured to take on the role of Deputy Chair for EVC at MYMUN, and I look forward to working with all of you this January. Let’s make this conference inspiring and memorable!
