Vivaan Chirag Dhyani

Hello delegates, I, Vivaan, will be your chair for the Environmental Committee. I will have been doing MUN for about two and a half years before the conference, and have greatly enjoyed learning about politics, public speaking, collaboration, and management along the way. Till this day, climate action remains limited, and that is because of the conflicting priorities nations must manage, mainly their economy. Therefore, I believe that guiding delegates through such situations would be especially enjoyable, which made me choose the Environmental Committee in particular. In this conference, I look forward to seeing how debates turn out, for in many such other committees, topics and resolutions have been general, with a lack of creativity; however, in this one, the topics are relevant and specific, such as artificial intelligence and resilient infrastructure, which are not as directly conflicting, creating potential for progress.
